STEELCASE ASIA-PACIFIC
Steelcase celebrated its 100th anniversary in March 2012. As a thank you to the architects and designers who make up their client base, Steelcase Asia Pacific wanted a special series of events to mark the occasion in 10 cities across the region.
Steelcase had already launched a centennial website, 100 DREAMS, 100 MINDS, 100 YEARS which shared children’s dreams of the future and the thoughts of creative industry leaders from around the world.
The centennial logo featured a multicoloured eye, and handwritten titles for 100 Dreams, 100 Minds, 100 Years. To build on the existing assets, we created a new presentation event called 100 MINUTES with a speech bubble as graphic identity, and selected sky blue and grey from the centennial eye for the event palette.
100 MINUTES: Dreams, whimsy and brilliance was conceived as a live extension of the online celebration. Its aim was to entertain and inspire with insight on design, innovation, sustainability and the future of work in a social gathering of experts, peers and contemporaries. To encourage the happy collision of unexpected ideas, 10 creatives from a variety of disciplines were invited to give 10-minute presentations in any format they wished for maximum flexibility of expression.
